This is a six week class, which meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 at McGuffey Art Center in Charlottesville. My teaching style is casual and experimental, allowing the student to learn fundamentals of color mixing, and basic compositional and brush techniques; and rapidly allow students to discover their own voice and techniques that suit their emerging styles and subjects. Some of the demonstrations are from photographs, and some still life.
Most materials are provided, with the exception of paper-- you will require either a watercolor block or pad (at least 140 lb, 11" x 14" or larger). This allows beginners to experiment with brushes and colors before investing in supplies.
To be announced when McGuffey reopens.
First member of the family full price, second member registering for the same session receives a discount of $75
